The experience required to gain each level increases with each level. So 4 more hours will not get you to level 13. It'll probably get you to 9 or 10. After a certain point soloing becomes more difficult too. Not impossible, just more difficult.

so let me get this straight...you think grinding to 60 in wow is fun yet you have no use for pve in guild wars because you thought the pve in the tutorial was boring??? incase you didn't realize this...pre-searing ascalon is the tutorial, and not representative of questing in this game. it takes me a couple hours or so to get a toon from creation to level 5 in the tutorial, but since then i've been questing and my toon is still only 13, and i've covered less than a quarter of the worl map.

have you even done one mission? missions are pretty damned epic, and blow anything wow has out of the water.

i have 3 level 34ish toon in wow, and 90% of my gametime there is spent jogging, or making myself some coffee as my toon takes a ride on a bird somewhere, or waiting for zepplins. So far the pve is at least as good as wow...without the time sinks of travel and the money sinks of continuous upgrades, travelling, item decay, and crafting.

i just can't believe you spent the bazillion hours grinding a wow toon to 60...now that's some boring gameplay when compared to this.

Until then, let's stop comparing apples to oranges.
Please don't use this argument to back up GW, it doesn't need it. GW is a far superior game to any existing MMORPG with or without a monthly charge. And also don't tell me GW is not a MMORPG. Let's not get caught up on symantecs. GW plays a heck of a lot like MMORPGs, it draws the same crowd, and it has the same addictive gameplay (though greatly improved).

And BTW, you never ever have to "grind" in WoW, you can quest your way all the way to 60, just like you can quest all the way to 20 in this game. I know because I've done it. And yeah, it takes longer, but it's not because of "grinding" it's because the PvE game in WoW is much more grande and epic in scope. PvP isn't the only strength of this game though. The graphics are superb, I really like them.
I have also played WoW, EQ, CoH, etc. And I have to say that I like the PvE in Guild Wars better than any of those. Yes WoW had lots of grind on the way up. I would argue that the PvE in WoW is in no way more grande. In WoW I found myself doing the quests to get a level. For the most part they were not grande or epic just numerous and long. A lot of quests does not make them grande.

I find the missions in GW to actually have a grande scope. It is like I am part of the story and making a difference. To me that is grande and epic.

Also your earlier comment about only having 8 skills while WoW has 30. That is one of the things I hated about WoW. Every Paladin or Warrior was the same, yeah there might be slight differences but in the end you knew what you were getting. In GW, even if 2 toons have the same Primary/Secondary you dont necessarily have any clue what build they will have.

I personally find Guild Wars to be superior to WoW in most aspects. For me PvP is far and away better, while PvE also outshine WoW.
